Selkie voting is basically for top 6 guys that have great defensive numbers. Dowd is a fourth line stud and excels at faceoffs and his own end. He blocks shots and plays with an edge, while still contributing to the offense occasionally.
His value is much higher than many will point to because he is part of the depth that wins championships.</div></div>
Sounds like Paul Gaustad.
Okay, so he's deadline bait for the Caps if they're not in the race, rather than getting something now.

34 year old on an expiring contract, on a roster that needs youth, whose never scored 15 goals is worth a late 1st?
He only finished 30th in Selke voting to, so it's not the D that is fully getting him the value.

Added some much needed grit. Brought in a pair of right shot d. Added a top 6 winger (which I believe is what adams wanted to do), hopefully konecny is a guy that can help the Sabres to not sleepwalk through every second game. Promoted savoie over Rosen, savoie probably needs time in the ahl, but I think he's already better than Rosen. Something about Rosen screams anonymous henchman to me. Ostlund and Wahlberg absolutely need time in the ahl.</div></div>
Flip Benson and Konecny and it's progress.
Hopefully Cates and TK come with Extensions otherwise you're throwing away quite a bit of asset for rentals.

If someone ran LockedOn Sabres like Joe Marino runs LockedOn Bills, they'd have a daily listener.

Think of it like this, the Sabres traded a first and guhle (if you don't remember him, ryan johnson would be a comp) for montour. The Sabres proceeded to misuse montour and drive his value straight into the ground. Florida took a flier on montour for a 7th. Nobody was going to pay a first and a decent prospect by the time he was done here. I'm not accusing tampa of mismanaging jeannot, maybe his good season in Nashville was a one-off. Either way, those tampa numbers make him look like an overpaid 4th liner, I don't love jam that much.</div></div>
Don't insult my intelligence that I wouldn't remember Brendan Guhle.

Doesn't have to be the 1st.
TB is not some goof organization though, there has to be some value of a 1st in the kid.
Natural Stat Trick has him and Trenin playing together 700+ min in 2021-22 (24 goal season) rekindle that.

I mean, the fanbase has spoiled on Skinner, so it'd be easy to see him wanting out.
Gallagher would wear a letter in Buffalo and is the type of ****head (respectively) the Sabres need.

$7M is a little rich for a first bridge deal on either. Could maybe settle between 4.5-5.5M.
The injury factor would be in consideration for Quinn.
By all means, I hope Quinn and JJ perform and are legit top6. Quinn makes Cozens go. Hope to see a bounce back there also.

Cecconi isn't leaving. Komarov and an AHL full-timer.
Strbak isn't leaving Artyom Levshunov for another year or 2 at Mich State anyways.

Not getting rid of Kulich.

We should not give up Asset A or B for Asset C?

A healthy Quinn, will be a career year, 20g - 40a, and we may be talking 3.5-4.5M.
He makes offense happen. That's where it all went this year, he was out. (plus Tage injury)

You have Peterka third line Center when he is a winger only, and Kane is not signing here to play third line minutes. I appreciate some out of the box thinking, bringing in players with some local ties, but these are Band-Aids that don’t really help much. I could get on board with the Ferabee trade, but I doubt Philadelphia goes for it unless 1 of our top prospects is in the deal (Savoie, Ostlund, Kulich).</div></div>
The local ties were for fun.
There has been few clips of JJ playing Center, I think his skating and relentlessness could translate down middle - played some in Germany.
Could flip Quinn back to Center where he had played in Rochester. (AHL Rookie of the year - played Center)
I'd be willing to send Ostlund or Kulich for an established 20 goal scorer.

Had the 11 in there and took it out. Think I'd pull trigger on that instead of this year.
My thinking on the 2 2's is that the Canes don't have the leverage to pull a 1. You can't pay everyone. But if there's a big competition to get him, then throw next years 1 (top 10 protected).

What is the point of any of these interactive gm's? To get opinions of worth if he does somehow waive.
Last year understand he was off a off-season surgery, now should be a year removed and healthy. He's still one of the better 2 way centers in the league.
Couturier has everything the Sabres need, and he may want out of his situation because of how they treated him. If they stay young, the playoffs are 2-3 years away.
