I think SJ is potentially in the trade-up market, and by calculation your offer is fair. However, I think if SJ does try this they are looking at Sea or Ott to try for Buium or Parekh. And from NJ's perspective this seems like a lot of moving parts is the end game is Demko. Not familiar with any team playing this level of 4d chess with draft picks for a trade that is not likely to happen.

Canucks aren’t gonna move Demko. If they did it would definitely cost more than #16 overall, especially since we’re not rebuilding. It would take a huge overpay for us to even consider

I actually think you could ask for the Sharks 33OA if you wanted to offer us 10OA. Sharks have the assets and wouldn't have the leverage between the two teams.
