doesn't have to be Chicago. There are plenty of teams who would use him on their third/fourth line. he is also a line 1 penalty killer

Then I wish him well wherever he ends up.

As long as it's not in Chicago.

Somebody may give you more than a sixth for Timmins, but it wont be Anaheim. Between Radko Gudas, Gus Lindstrom and Tristan Luneau, we have the second, third and fourth RD slots filled, and I don't think that Timmins is the #1 RD we're looking for.

I don't think that's what Samsonov had in mind when he said that he wanted stability aka term. I'm sure he would prefer another 1-year contract over that. He's likely not going to be back though. He'll probably get like a 2.5M-3.5Mx3 deal somewhere else.

I’m on board with that as long as Toronto sends a 2nd round pick with him.

We are well aware of his abilities in CHI. He came into the NHL with CHI. Still not paying anything for him.

he had an 890 save percentage. He is not getting anything more than that and feels that he was the problem for why they lost against Boston. Also, no one picked him off waivers. He only had 1 good season and that was last year.

What I should have said was "If Samsonov signs a 3 year deal it would probably be because someone was offering him 2.5-3.5M". He's likely going to have to take a pay cut but I don't think taking a 50% pay cut and signing a multi-year deal. He might not have options but that's when he just signs another 1 or 2-year deal depending on the AAV. If it's 1.5M or less, no reason for him to sign for more than a year.

Then you should probably put down the bottle and log off because no one is giving the Leafs anything of value for your overpaid 4th liner with three seasons remaining at $2.4m per.
