Going mainly for 1-year deals so as to not be spread too thin once some of our players are RFAs.
Notes: Trade with Blackhawks from 24 Roster Build, which was Faksa and 24 1st for Kings 24 2nd, Chicago 25 4th and 24 6th.
Ryan Suter isn't actually on roster. His is buyout dead cap from his 24 Buyout

As a Hawks fan trying to be fair to both sides. You can probably drop the 4th and 6th. It would be just like the Mrazek trade.

No because... 1) Faksa is better than Mrazek, by a large margin.
2) the Kings pick is lower than what the leafs got.
3) Faksa is on an expiring deal, mrazek had two years left

Mrazek filled a need and Faksa doesn't. Chicago has enough bottom six guys to ice an entire team (they practically did this season outside of Bedard and Kurashev). Regardless of value assessment from the dumping team, the team with cap space sets the price or walks away. Chicago has all the leverage since there's no need to take on Faksa. If Dallas needs to shed salary, they're at the will of whichever team has the cap space.
