This regurgitated, lopsided trade again? I thought that we collectively put this to bed a while ago. EDM declines.

Dude, they need a goalie so bad. They get a top 10 goalie, you have to pay for that. RNH's numbers are inflated because of who he plays with

RNH is locked in for 4 more years on one of the best contracts in the league. Inflated numbers or not, that is a fact. It also a fact that he’s a very skilled player regardless of who he plays with, or else you wouldn’t be hypothetically trading for him. Ullmark is a rental, who not only will be getting a raise, but who likely won’t want to resign in a location like EDM. It’s a pretty easy no for EDM. They can improve goaltending now and longterm without having to trade RNH.

Even if Edmonton would accept, unlikely, both Ullnark and RNH block it.

Yeah that's a fair point

Don’t get me wrong, Ullmark is great. If he had term at a similar cap hit as RNH then I suppose the conversation could start, but it’s just not the case. Not to mention, we haven’t even touched on NTC’s. I have a strong feeling that Ullmark will end up with LAK or NJD.

It’s going to be interesting, but my perspective is Ullmark will want term and protections to guarantee his location for his family in the offseason.

Personally believe Ullmark has been the better player the past two years relative to his position, but tRNH’s contract and the NMC’s kill this.

My guess is a 2024 first may be more appealing than the 2025 first from the NJD, but I’m not sure Edmonton is in a position to give the long term contract it will require to get Ullmark to waive

Also with Lindholm’s playoff, I think his min is likely going to be 7.5 and may return to 8 AAV
