Marner NMC is probably most annoying.

Dozens of players have NMCs......Bad Marner trade proposals....like this one are annoying.

Leafs just don't resign Marner next spring.....like the 100 other UFAs who don't get resigned by their teams. Leafs will then 11m or more to sign other UFAs. In this trade proposal I can't believe the Leafs would want Sanheim at 6.25m for seven years.

Even worse is the expectation that M NTC Jarnkrok and Kampf would have Ducks on their trade lost.

You will have Flyers fans complaining about it because it makes no sense to them. Maybe in 2026-2027 when Michkov is over and current prospects are thriving, but we are still rebuilding.

TK and Sanheim, imo, would bring home more prospects and picks than Marner alone due to the raise hes gonna command.

And how many of those players with NMCs get moved? And of the tiny percentage that do get moved, how many leave are leaving a contender for a rebuilder? Marner's NMC likely prevents the vast majority of fair trade value options Treliving has. I can't even remember the last time a player was willing to waive a full NMC to a wide variety of teams. Even players that want to leave, like Karlsson last season, will restrict trade options based on their preferences.

You're right. NMC players MIGHT agree to trade if his new team puts in in a better situation...likes say for a Cup run or a new contract.
I'm doubting in Marner's case, none of those things are available to him. So he just stays a Leafs, puts up good numbers playing with Matthews, Nylander, Tavares and a very good PP, and looks for the best situation for him next season as UFA. Heck he might even resign as a Leaf...but I doubt it.
