I actually don't mind targeting Roy, Kane, or a cap dump like JGP. The rest is kinda meh, but probably makes us a bit more competitive and creates more roster competition, which isn't saying much if you look at our roster from this past season. But I do not like the idea of Bertuzzi.

A 2nd 3 years from now doesn’t get Roy

Big Fan of the Vegas trade for Roy, but it probably costs more.

With Vegas tight to the cap having a capable 3C at Roy's AAV is important to their depth. But if they were willing to move him and we can use draft capital and not high end prospects to make a deal this should be something Chicago looks into.

I dont think the UFA's are the way Chicago goes this year, Kane can always come back but not crazy about the others.

I think it depends on what Vegas's plans are for their pending free agents. Roy is the easiest forward with an impactful cap hit that they could clear in a trade since he doesn't have any sort of NTC. Vegas traded Fleury for nothing a few years ago to clear cap space. I could see them doing it again with a player like Roy so that they can bring back Marchessault.

Especially at that price. Awful.

Fleury was 37 and had a 7 million dollar cap hit lol. Not close to the same. If we shopped Roy this offer would easily be topped
