Description

I am assuming all of LHD of Silayev, Buium, & Dickinson are off the board, Yakemchuk is available, and the Flyers don't LOVE any single forward but like a handful relatively equally. I would be content with #12 for #20 & #34, but put this out there as a broader option knowing how one views Farabee (Tort's doghouse needing a change of scenery and get something of value that will help or valuable young player that will out last Torts expiration date in another season or2)

Flyers have no interest in this.

They don't need to dump contracts.

they aren't trading Farabee unless it's part of a package for a more valuable player or in a hockey trade for a position of need.

And they aren't moving back from #12.

This makes no sense for the flyers, why would they trade away a young winger for nothing, dump Atkinson when they don't even need the extra cap space, and then trade down their first round pick all for basically nothing??

The Hawks are very high on del mastro, they aren't trading him for what is a weaker 1st round after pick #8

I agree on Del Mastro but you have to give to get and at some point if Vlasic is one and Korchinski is projected into a 2nd LHD, that leaves one spot (or 2 if one can play RHD off hand) for Del Mastro, Kaiser, Allen, and Phillips. My thought is you actually have to give to get in a trade and Farabee is more proven than hoping/projecting on Del Mastro (or any of the LHD prospects as good as we hope they will be)

I think Hawks would be hesitant to trade Del Mastro, but would do this. Not sure the Flyers do this at this point unless they dont think Farabee fits the system.

That is a bad deal for PHI. But, I think something could be worked out if they are trying to open up cap and make some changes going into next season. I would be most interested in finding a way to work Bonk into a deal, if we are talking about cap dump compensation.
