The fact you think that that gets Zegras without Anaheim adding a 2nd is wild to me

Anaheim doesn’t like anything about this package

We will give you Ryan Strome for it

We've been over this again, and again, and again.

5OA or Reinbacher is the basis of the trade, Anaheim adds nothing, Anaheim takes no cap dump the other way without additional payment, and again, the trade STARTS with 5OA or Reinbacher.

then the trade doesn't start at all. zegras is not worth the 5. part of the reason the ducks are so bad defensively is that zegras has never met his own team's goalies. he's a showboat, and we can do without. offer mctavish or carlsson, then we'll talk.

It's the same tired old argument with you guys, isn't it? "hE cAnT pLaY dEfEnSe" a lot of star players didn't when they were 22, you think Eichel was a defensive stud at that age? No, it came later as he developed, which is what we've been doing with Zegras, he was tremendously better on defense this year.

We're not out trying to gain another top 5 pick, so we're not offering McT or Leo for it, we're saying if you want Zegras, who goes top 3 in his redraft, it'll cost you 5OA in a weak draft +, because the player you get to take at 5 you HOPE turns into a Trevor Zegras.

No, the player we take at 5 is hopefully not so soft or inconsistent. For Zegras, the whole is not as much as the sum of his parts. I'd rather draft Demidov or Lindstrom at 5.
