Maybe, but they didn't when he was waived

Fair. I'm just dumping the contract. If he has to be put on waivers that's fine.

Feel free to make a Schenn offer. Parayko is not available.

I saw that Groulx played 45 games last season and had 2 points. Figured Ducks would like a slight vet upgrade in that regard. Kampf isn't an offensive superstar, but he's average 24 points over 80 games a season the last three years. At only 2.4M I thought Ducks might agree to the deal. Move a young guy who is clearly not working out and a low pick for a vet 25 point PK 4C and a lower pick.

He mainly only played because we had 3-5 forwards hurt at a time, he should have just been our 13th forward. We don’t have any room for Kampf and spending $2,400,000 for the next 3 years just doesn’t make much of any sense. We could sign someone a little worse for 1/2 the cost or someone a little better for only a million or so more

Figured STL might want to go younger and cheaper on D and get out of that long contract that probably won't be too great in a few years. Minten is an A prospect that adds to a solid young C core of Kyrou and Thomas. Tavares replaces Schenn for this year, and maybe comes back on a cheaper deal. If STL is out of a playoff picture by the deadline, they could also try to move Tavares to a contender for something.

I get not wanting to part with Parayko, he's great. But I think the deal is pretty fair for both sides.

Dude Ducks have a ton of cash. That 2.4M is nothing.

Kampf also has value in regards to your first part of your comment. The guy is rarely hurt. Could provide some stability to the lineup.

Idk. In the end this is just speculation and opinions but I could see this being a possible trade between the two teams.

I don’t think they would trade Schenn unless they get McJesus, Matthews, Marner, Ovi or Crosby.

Also no way we trade for Tavares

Folks need to understand the Blues have zero issues with Parayko's contract in any category. They want to find him a proper 1LD partner. That's literally job #1. Need #1, for years now. They are not trading Parayko, and there's a great chance he'd refuse to waive anyway.

The Blues have no interest in losing Parayko. That would cause a franchise and city wide panic. Folks need to understand it and pass it on. Because apparently it's a secret in some parts. Just trying to help.

I should copy this to a notepad.

Also... Kyrou is not a C. He's a pure winger.

Minten is not an A prospect. I've never seen a single prospect guru say that. He's a nice 3C prospect. B+ tops.

The Blues do not want Tavares. If it meant moving Schenn, I'd take him for one season (probably less, as you noted). Otherwise, no thanks.

I’ll echo Landro. He’s just too overpaid for his role. Grouxl most likely won’t be a duck next year regardless, but a replacement can be had with the same production for far less money, and it’s also a spot that some young guys can use to get NHL looks (like Nesterenko). While maybe TOR doesn’t care about money, ANA does. Regardless of having the cap space, a small market team absolutely cares about it

It's not a matter of having the money, it's a matter of leverage, Toronto wants him gone. We'll give you Grould as he's likely not tendered a QO, but we've no reason to toss a pick for Kampf when he's a cap casualty from a cap strapped team.

I personally would take Kampf for Anaheim, but I've been as yet unable to convince my fellow Ducks fans on that topic yet.

None of these trades are good for anybody besides MTL.
VGK isn’t giving up 3 valuable roster players for Marner.
STL doesn’t want nor need an $11M Tavares.
Kampf just isn’t good and his contract is atrocious.
Utah is going to do something big, not Coyote like.
I love Timmins but why is CHI even interested, they aren’t.
