Canucks won't give up assets for retention. If this deal happens it would be a 1 for 1. Myers will have value at the trade deadline which is what the sharks would be banking on.

VAN has no real need to trade Myers, he could actually be very good in a sheltered role on the 3rd pair, not giving up that many picks for retention on a player who has 1 year left.

I believe what you meant to say is "what the sharks would be La-bancing on."
