If San Jose want any major return for him at all, they're eating half his contract, and they sure as hell ain't getting Nikishin</div></div>
Then there's no deal. Why trade your best and most import player for nothing in return. Carolina, or any team trading has to give away cap, karlsson is a phenomenal player and San Jose have to retain $21 million. Do you know how much that is?

I personally can't see Foudy making it long term with this team based on previous seasons.
Did you forget Chinny? I would expect Chinakov in the line-up in any of the 4 lines.

After being thrown in at the deep end on his NHL debut last year, I expect Jiricek to be given more time in the AHL. Vorenkov too, same deal as Marchenko.

Yeah that's what I mean. I'm not waiving Tarasov to include Halak

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GiggywithGibby</b></div><div>Its hard to know on Olofsson, he is on the final year of a basically 5 mil AAV deal, exits as a free agent. Scores plenty of goals, puts up good points, but I have heard he is extremely deficient defensively. What team looks at Olofsson and says "he is part of the solution" and has 5 mil in cap space for him? Are his goals impactful, such as game winners or clutch goals when the team needs a response, or are they empty, stat padding goals he racks up on demoralized teams when the game is already out of reach?
I have no idea what kind of goal scorer he is, there's a possibility Carolina wants him as they are in the need of a goal scoring winger, but they typically like guys with term if they are buying.</div></div>

Svozil isn't going anywhere. Neither is Chiny. Especially not for just for BFG in return. It would take a serious return if those two were to be traded.

Super Lines
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dopplsan</b></div><div>Send Marchenko/Chinny/KJ to Cleveland. Put Danforth on the 4th line in KJ’s spot.They shouldn’t waste time as healthy scratches or 4th liners. That’s how they spoiled Bemstrom’s development. That’s how they’re spoiling Chinny’s development.
Just send the kid to CLE to get better minutes. It does nothing for their development to have them play five minutes a night in a checking-line role.</div></div>
I don't think so, there's always a need to become more rounded as a player, and they have special teams to support as well. Few centers in NHL can afford to be a one trick pony, so Kent Johnson especially will need to develop a multitude of skills.
The lines will be fluid anyways, plus injuries, I have no idea how they will fit them all together.

Is this fair for Gibson
I think it's a decent deal depending on your view of Bahl, but would be hard to see a deal go through which doesn't have a goalie going the other way. So ultimately it would mean Blackwood.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Burnout</b></div><div>I don't think anybody would classify Beaudin as a decent defensive prospect. He's more of a waiver wire pick-up. Montreal doesn't need or want dross and Kubalik doesn't do much for Montreal for the same reason he doesn't do much for Chicago.
Per Friedman, Seravalli and LeBrun, Montreal's gotten lots of calls for Anderson, but they aren't going to move him unless its an offer they can't refuse (similar to the Lehkonen trade). Drouin's contract is a non-issue and while Armia's contract might be nice to move, this isn't even within the realm of being close to how they'd do that.</div></div>
Josh Anderson is made of glass! Jonathan Drouin is made of glass. Everyone knows this.

A decent defensive prospect (former first rounder I may add), a goal scoring winger and some dross, for masses of long term cap space and freedom not to pay people who are made of glass.

Edited Somewhat Simple Sabres
I don't want to be boring, but UPLs contract will need to be 1-way, which means he can't be sent to the minors without waivers. Therefore no point in signing Comrie.
Also Sabres acquired Bishop to ensure they get to the floor. No owner will pay people to do nothing unless absolutely necessary, so I doubt Lucic moves, especially to the Sabres. Monahan is interesting, but if he does move as a cap dump he will need to play at least 50% of games.

They won't be able to keep Point.
They won't be able to keep Cirelli, Cernak, Sergachev.
They won't be able to move Johnson without a massive overpay.
Now they won't be able to keep Cirelli, Cernak, Sergachev? Well they've got all next year to figure it out and even if they don't they're all RFAs anyway.
Tampa hasn't had a first round pick in years but had consistently added 2-3 skilled players every season. The Hagel picks aren't as dire as you think they are.
One day there will be a reckoning. But so long as Kuch, Point, Stamkos, Heddy, Vasy are around Tampa will continue to surround them with skill players like Cernak, Cirelli, Sergachev. Not trade them away.</div></div>
I'm trying to improve the Sabres here sweetheart. Calm your tits.

Tampa has to lose somebody sooner than later. Cernak will cost £5m onwards. The Lightning can't afford both Sergachev and Cernak plus others on those contracts. All the draft picks spent on Hagel need to be replenished as well, otherwise its Chicago Blackhawks/LA Kings 2.0 for the Lightning so something is going to give.
