I would disagree. I like the idea of giving the rookies a fair shot, but Beach is proven, so if they aren't ready, no pressure to put them in a position that would hamper their development (talking about Larsson or Megna as 3LD). Also provides depth even if they are ready, and gives another option with Vats out to start the season for a very cheap price

can we stop acting like your 2 defenseman are going to come back from torn labrums and play at the top of their games? its going to take time for them to get back to playing 20 minutes a night at peak level. this buys them time to work in those minutes without relying on unproven rookies to carry the load. great signing

Justforfun: What you wrote, just makes too much sense. It's a long season, you need good your 6,7 and 8 Dmen to be NHL good.
