As a Mtl fan, I would take a chance hoping Doughty resigns in Mtl and say yes to that trade.

Philly rejects your trade, and Hextall slashes you in the back of the knee. That Brown contract is an albatross. Lehtera is gone after 1 more year. It's great Brown had a bounce back year, but the 5 years of frustration beforehand are not easily forgotten on the trade market.

The doughty trade could get more for him than one pick and a few players he's worth a lot and he wants to stay with la and he is the best D in the league so keep him
