Brooks orpik is playing well right now, and his cap hit is brutal, Avalanche would not take that on. Detroit would never part ways with Larkin; hes set to become their number 1 centre. Capitals right now are in financial hell with the heads pressed against the cap ceiling. The only way to make some trades happen is to pick on teams that are in rebuilding mode (ie; Cannucks or Sabres)
