I agree, but necas is also younger and could very well blossom in St. Louis to become better than buch

Zach Bolduc could also blossom to become better than Robert Thomas. Is it likely? No. Should you count on it happening absolutely not.

Think about it this way. One team, Carolina is reportedly and has been shopping a top 6 young player.

One team - not contending yet, wants to make a heavy push to re-sign a player turning 30.

Why is that? Well partially because of how flexible and responsible Buch is. And partially because of how unreliable of a player Necas is at this point.

I get the argument of him being younger. But younger rarely develops.

Rangers consider that deal without us sending the 1st. Lindgren gets that mid 1st + all on his own. And based on the contract you offered, clearly you agree.

Lindgren is an RFA and if you want to offer him that contract (which is fair), the compensation will be a 1st and 3rd. That is essentially the starting point for the trade. At minimum it'll be a 1st for him, without the rangers downgrading from their own 1st to a 2nd.
