Description

I'd assume once Val is (if) cleared, he will no longer be part of the Avalanche organization and be dealt somewhere for a mid to late round pick just to give him and the organization a change. Possible fits I could see is teams like SEA, UTH, NYI.

yes, but if he were to return after being reinstated, his cap counts. The Avs cannot save $6mil for that to maybe happen

I am guessing his cap hit would be pro-rated for the how much of the season is left similar to when a player moves at the deadline in that case?

Drouin will get more thatn $2mil.

The avs should not be paying Duhaime any money.

Utah should definitely not that that deal, and there's potential now that COL doesn't need to anymore.

Moser gets WAY more money and term than that, granted, Utah doesn’t do that, as I wouldn’t trade Moser 1for1 for Girard.. he’s got to be one of the most underrated defenders in the NHL.

Just buyout Val’s contract, this is almost guaranteed to happen again if you bring him back, and no one is going to take him on

Toffoli is about the worst possible fit for COL. Not a fan of the 2nd and 3rd pairings here. Also I don’t think they get any cap relief for Val he doesn’t count as a roster spot while suspended but his cap hit counts.
