  3. 2024 3rd round pick (SEA)
SEA
  1. Marner, Mitchell
  2. 2024 5th round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
At first I was hesitant but the more I thought about. This idea gives a true top line winger for Seattle to work with. Toronto should get a future second line center to replace Tavares and a quality defenseman who plays good top 4 minutes. I prefer a little more for Toronto so I added a couple smaller picks.

Like the additions for the Leafs, but don't think Francis and Guerin would be down for those trades. SEA might not be willing to give up SW except for a 1C, but if the Leafs aren't getting a haul that would set them up for future success, then they shouldn't drive Marner out of town. I think Guerin would want more for Gustavsson just in terms of value. Even more so, when you consider the fact that Liljegren is an arb-eligible RFA, it could be risky to take him with their cap situation.

I suspect that Guerin could make a bid for Marner that would include Rossi + Gustavsson but that's not something I would be too crazy about unless they were giving Brodin in the process.

SEA declines. Not moving Wright even if Marner extends. To expensive of a contract extension and it is to early for SEA to be giving up on Wright.

In what world does Terrevainen get 75% more than Domi in FA? Way too much $ for a mid 6 winger 🤦🏻

I don’t see this as something Seattle would do, Francis always seems hesitant to make big moves like this

It's such a bad trade Seattle. They take on so much cap, all that for rental. Why do Leaf fans keep on repeating the same nonsensical trades. Even worse they always show the Leaf side of the trade, not the 7m extra cap that Seattle takes on. Can Seattle even afford such the trade?

I was merely looking at the idea as was presented by a writer off of Sportsnet. The viability of such a trade so both sides is and always will be a big hindrance. The writer explained his reasoning while it made sense there is a big problem which is also always presented on here. It is of the opinion of one guy and his thoughts. That does not mean that Seattle of Treliving thinks the same. As was mentioned by other commenters would Francis do such a trade... That I cannot answer and agree where they argue he may not even consider it. His values on said players are different than the writers. For the Leafs same thing, what does Tre value for Marner.
Of course it's needless to be said all trades are hypothetical upon Marner resigning so a sign and trade type of deal.

That's exactly what I am doing, I am entertaining the thought to think of a potential lineup based on the idea the writer only presented what he thought could be 4 different Marner trades. This is fantasy GM site for playing with thoughts and opinions.
