The Bruins trade is antithetical to the teams needs. You've singled out some of the pieces Boston is the most keen to keep. I'm not gonna pretend Farabee is completely uninteresting but both Lohrei and Poitras, and Zacha all fill much more important needs for the team

Explain to me why Boston should want to accept this deal.

The reason Detroit would trade Fabbri is for cap space. Plus Risto has 3yrs left and Fabbri has only one year left.

I swear about 80% of the people on this site don't understand what a rebuild is lol. Why on earth would Briere trade Brink or Attard?

Because they don’t believe they are part of the team’s future and can get assets they value more? Remind me: did Briere draft either of these guys? Don’t think so.

You'll have to look elsewhere for that, Wild don't do this deal

So because Briere didn't draft them you think they aren't valuable assets for a rebuild? Lol. Brink isn't going anywhere. Attard is possible since he is 25 but I doubt it right now.

The point about Briere not drafting them was simply that he may not value Brink and Attard as much as the GM who did in fact draft them. I don't think that's a controversial viewpoint. Also, where did I say they aren't valuable assets for a rebuild? Based on the comments, it appears that if anything I overvalued Brink. In the proposed Minnesota trade, the value I assign to Brink equals the difference between the ~28th pick and the 13th pick in the first round. Minnesota fans responded that the Wild would not do that trade, which indicates that I overvalued him.
