I think the price for Necas would more likely be a higher end prospect+ that is close to breaking into the show... like a Geekie

Carolina has a bunch of good prospects and one could argue are a bit crowded.

I would either want picks for Necas to use in another deal to maybe bring in a blue liner

Or I would look to move Necas in a hockey trade. Kind of like what BUF and AVS did this TDL

The funny thing is the return he gets for Kerfoot and Bjugstad is just about the same.

Our prospect pool is really thin at the one area where we really need reinforcements which is center... it's only Ryan Suzuki and a bunch of hope and prayers... I think Geekie makes a lot of sense for the Hurricanes both in the short term and the long term. Also having him on a ELC really relaxes the cap pressure that we'd be under assuming we're able to dump a couple of contracts
I think the blue line will be fine. Morrow, Slavin, Burns, and Orlov are all signed and Chatfield is probably coming back which means all we need is a third-pairing defensemen
