What's the incentive for Buffalo here?

You are like 5 years short on that Teravainen deal

What is the incentive for Montreal? We have way too many LHD right now and Byram is not an upgrade on Matheson or Guhle and Hughes already said he is not making a trade that blocks Hutson, Mailloux or Reinbacher, so where is the incentive?

Columbus is not interested in turning one higher value asset into a bunch of scraps. Pass.

Huh? You aren't adding any LD in this trade. Try your math again

How a trade works is that a team has to interested in what you are trading. Which Marchenko is not available for pieces that wouldn’t make our line up as is.

Look again, Byram is a Lefthanded defenseman who can play the right side much like Guhle. Also as I said he would be blocking Reinbacher and Mailloux which Hughes specifically said he is not going to do. So, try your math again!

Huh? And in that same trade you are losing Harris, a left handed defenseman. You are also losing Kovacevic, a right handed defenseman.

That is + 1 defenseman, but also -2 defensemen. How are you this blind? The math says that is +1 spot on the blue line for any of Reinbacher, Mailloux, or Hutson

Are you ignorant or do you just not understand English?! Who cares how many are going out vs coming in?! We need to trade a minimum of 2 D men to open spots for Hutson, Reinbacher and Mailloux, we are not taking back any D and blocking them from making the team next season. This trade just simply is not happening cause it makes 0 sense for the Habs and goes against everything Hughes just said in an interview 2 weeks ago. Is that plain enough English for you or do you need it dumbed down even more?!

LMAO so let me get this straight. You would actively not take a great value deal for Montreal because it adds a top 4 defensemen while also actively opening up another roster spot on the blue line by subtracting 2 inferior defensemen? Not to mention the 2nd trade opens up another roster spot on the blue line by getting rid of Barron. A trade like this would allow you to play Matheson and Savard on your 2nd or 3rd pairing instead of exposing them to 22 minutes a night to get caved in. Then by the end of the season you move Savard to a contender and bring up one of Reinbacker or Mailloux. Your expectation that prospects can just casually jump into top 4 roles is ridiculous.

Ok, apparently I do need to dumb it down for you!

Habs not trading for LHD. Habs not trading 3 D men unless 2 of Hutson, Mailloux or Reinbacher make the team. Habs have no reason to spend assets on a LHD they do not want or need, if they were trading for a top 4D the D would have to be RH, already NHL proven, and under 25 with top pairing ceilimg (think Jiricek or Nemec) and even then we would have to send Reinbacher the other way as well so as not to have the same issue on the right as we have on the left where we are blocking players from claiming spots. Is that plain enough?

I think you need to real in your expectations for your prospects. It's highly unlikely any of them become top 10 defensemen in the league

I think you need to learn to read, I never claimed any of them would be future top 10 in the league. You are just being obnoxious, as they say on the weakest link. You are the weakest link (of humanity) goodbye! Enjoy the ignore list troll!

LMAO sure man ignore me. maybe get a reality check while you're at it. In the meantime Byram will continue to be a 1st pair defenseman under the age of 25
