Description
Start by completely restructuring your power play. 1/15 in the playoffs is unacceptable. Fire Jeff Daniels or whoever is in charge of the power play to the sun. Also (and I know this won’t happen) strip Staal of the C and give it to Aho or Slavin. They’ve earned it.

Get KK out of here. Complete ghost this year especially in the playoffs. Stephenson would be a good replacement for him.

Do everything you can to keep Guentzel around, he’s been fantastic and by far our best player in the playoffs. Jarvis gets bridged for the sake of the next couple seasons, and he’ll get a big bag after that. The chemistry that Guentzel, Aho and Jarvis has is great. Not sure why they weren’t skating together more often in the playoffs, they’re the only ones who have showed up offensively this series.

Fast is more or less a cap casualty. If they don’t bring Noesen back, he can be afforded. But personally, I like Noesen more, but they may just keep Fast.

Honestly not sure what to do about the defense, specifically the right side. Burns is starting to slow down and I could see him not being relied on as heavily next year. Maybe him and Morrow split time as the 1RD with Slavin. You also you have a lot of potential turnover on defense. Carlo would be a perfect replacement for Pesce. Very solid defensively and provides more of a size and physicality factor. Send over Pesce’s UFA rights and Necas for him.

That first deal is an L for the canes. Signing Toffoli would be another L. That 3rd pair gets absolutely abused

This is all over the place.

Rod needs to go above all else. He's advocating for Daniels to stay, and he STILL has final say over his assistants. This falls on his hands. He's being outcoached, and he's become an anchor.

Beyond that, Staal and Burns need to go. Put Kotkaniemi in the Staal spot and STOP TRYING TO PLAY HIM ON THE WING. He's not a winger, but when he's played as a center, he's been very good. Both in the regular season and the postseason. Get rid of Drury because nepotism will get you more than he's worth and he's been AWFUL. Necas needs to be the 2C next year under a new coach.

If they don't make this a competitive series and at least win two games, Brindamour needs to be gone. Way too undisciplined to not fault the coach.

Or we could do Fast for Brannstrom one for one as Branny is way better than Ty Smith but has no spot in OTT

Down 3-0 is getting humiliated yet again. Nobody cares how close the games are. Brindamour teams are uniquely qualified at getting blown out in a series. Winning one or fewer games in elimination must be his specialty.

i bet the bruins would really like necas but i'm not sure his RFA rights are enough to get Carlo. Obviously, Pesce's UFA rights aren't even entering the conversation.

Yea I don’t buy the “they were all close games” speech he’s been spewing the for past two years. It’s the playoffs, games are gonna be close. The Rangers aren’t winning just because they got the right bounces, this team has glaring issues. If your power play was functional, maybe we would have won a game or two in this series.

I think Sullivan is one of the best coaches in the league. That doesn't mean I think he should coach Pittsburgh non-stop without any consequences for failure. Most of the best fits for coaching, involve matching the team with the right coach and system. Rod might be the best coach in the league. That doesn't mean he's the best coach for this team.

nobody is firing RBA, his contract expires and Dundon should let him go. this year's playoffs showed that RBA is not taking Canes to the cup
